I know a lot of people on the team are saying this but the time leading up to the Games has gone really fast, and as I sit here in the international terminal for my flight I don’t think I could have prepared any better.

I think that I am swimming as well as I ever have in my career and my eight week training camp in the United States was a real positive.

For me, there is nothing more special than representing my country and the Olympic Games is the pinnacle of competition. The 10klm Open Water swim will be held in Hyde Park on the 10th August, a couple several days after the pool swimming schedule closes and looks like it will be telecast here around 9pm.

A huge thank you to my family, friends, sponsors and everyone that has supported me in my second Olympic campaign.

Europe here I come.
